Custom GuitarHero Wii Faceplate

A few of us at work did these custom faceplates for GH Wii for a local event. I'm not exactly sure what for, but it looked like fun so I volunteered. Did it over the weekend, acrylics.

Self-Caricature

It's been a while since postings but I haven't stopped working. I'll post some of the stuff up soon.

In the meantime.... I've never been a fan of caricature. With the exception of Kruger I've never really seen a lot of "art" in it. It always seemed really gimicky. Until I found Jason Seiler's Blog I've been following it for a few months and Damn can that man paint!! Whatever you think of the subject matter his skintones are amazing. Well I just got his book and had to try my hand a self portrait caricature. I had a lot of fun, even though its clearly not my thing.

I spent about 4 hours on it. During that time I was listening to a Color Theory class by Jason Manley on Conceptart.org It was amazing!! I highly recommend their digital downloads and art workshops. It's a great community that I need to get back to.

LifeDrawing 6/13

So we finally got our act together and had a nother life drawing session for work. I missed the first hour, was a new model and was her first time. She did a great job - including standing on her toes for ten minutes without moving !!

Dominance War - not so much

So didn't get to finish the Dominance War in time. Work Deadlines kicked my ass, but I am planning on finishing it up anyway.

Here's the Normal Map on the low poly mesh (10k weapon and character) with the start of a diffuse and spec.

There's a few more things I'd like to do but I need to move on to the game mesh and texturing. Even with the week extension they gave it will be tight.

Dominance War4 Update

About a week left and I am way behind, I switched to a more stylized character spice it up a bit for myself and keep it entertaining. I also figured the simplified design would help me speed up texturing a bit.

Lifedrawing sessions 2 and 3

Been busy trying to finish up the game so haven't kept up well with this, but here are the last two sessions of lifedrawings. Didn't include the 1-2 min ones since the photos came out terrible.

Dominance War 4 Starts!!!

So, for the next two months most everything that I'll be putting up here will be relating to that. Hopefully, I'll still have time to play around every once and a while but my focus is definitely going to be on this year's Dominance War.
