In the meantime.... I've never been a fan of caricature. With the exception of Kruger I've never really seen a lot of "art" in it. It always seemed really gimicky. Until I found Jason Seiler's Blog I've been following it for a few months and Damn can that man paint!! Whatever you think of the subject matter his skintones are amazing. Well I just got his book and had to try my hand a self portrait caricature. I had a lot of fun, even though its clearly not my thing.
I spent about 4 hours on it. During that time I was listening to a Color Theory class by Jason Manley on Conceptart.org It was amazing!! I highly recommend their digital downloads and art workshops. It's a great community that I need to get back to.
